yo all,
i have been tempted to buy some suspension spacers to go on my 90 (i am slowly doing it up). i have put winch bumper + winch on and will be putting butch tyres on.
will spacers stuff up the wheel alignment or towing or is anything that i should be aware of before i commit to doing it?????
Cheers

There are many reasons for lifting a vehicle. But there are lots of different ways to do it, and they all have pro's and con's.

Defender's already have good ground clearance and ride height. Probably about the most of almost any production 4x4. So there actually is very little need to lift them. You can also squeeze 33" tyres on them without mods.

Although running over sized tyres may not be the best thing either. But it all depends on you end goals and compromises.

Lift packers will raise the vehicle. But unless you do other mods, it'll probably make it handle slightly worse on road, and will probably be worse off road, as you'll find you'll get cross axled more easily.

If you are towing, you'll also be raising the towing hitch, so it might not sit well for a trailer, so you may need a dropper plate.

Overall, it's not a bad thing, nor a good thing. But will have side affects and trade off's.
