Suspension and dashboard upgrade

hi guys, new to his, need some advise, just purchased a 95 90 defender, 2.5 td
question - i want to upgrade the suspension as I'm feeling every bump... if you could please point me in the right direction,
Also i'm looking at upgrading the existing dashboard for the 95 model to around 2013-14 has anyone done this yet and if so and advise?

just replace the suspension with std shocks and springs. Forget the dash. unless your a very very good auto electrician.

I'm not sure about the very latest model dashboard, but Retroanaconda has an article about installing a TD5 dashboard in an earlier vehicle here Installing a Defender Td5 Instrument Pack into a 200Tdi/300Tdi - Land Rover Technical Blog Lots of useful information about what wires need to go to what pins.
