If it kicks off this week, show your support. Enough is enough. Having the most expensive fuel in the Western world is nothing to be proud of, especially as I don't see the dozens of new schools, clinics and hospitals along with the intergrated public transport that all this fuel duty was going to give us.

I'm on LPG which even my local Flogas centre has kicked up 5p a litre as from today. The one eyed tit in Downing street has already changed tack and declared it as dirty as other fossil fuels and is trying to make the duty on it catch up with Pet / Derv by a series of higher fuel duty increases.

Don't forget, we have to move so much of our day to day goods around this country in wagons whether we like it or not and the result is increases in the cost of every day goods like bread, milk etc.
 
Bollocks are swelling as we type. This is not just about a few farmers or haulage firms, this is about the cost of sending off for some spares for your motor and the delivery charges that will have to increase. it's about the increase you will have to pay the pumber who comes round your house in his diesel van or the taxi you get home because you are to responsible to drink and drive after your evening out
 
and you will achieve what? **** all. look at that ****ryside alliance protest, 850brazilion folk turned up and the gov sed, "oh!.. look at all them people!"
 
Increases in the price of oil affects lots of other countries but they don't compound the effects with crippling and punitive taxation duties on top.
Fuel duty is a tax, which is itself taxed by having VAT levied on it. Each extra penny on a litre is also bringing the one eyed git, a further share of VAT.
 
LOOK YER ****!! IF YER SERIOUS ABOUT CHANGING ****, THE ONLY WAY TO DO IT IS FROM THE INSIDE. coming on here and bleating about will acheive fook all. getting you and yer mates to have a day in london will acheive fook all.
either get yerself elected as PM, organise an armed coup, move to some where more agreeable to your politcal ideals or shut the fook up

Well if you want to be paying anything between £5 and £6 a gallon by next march, then do nothing. If you think high fuel charges are so good, I can't see what you are doing on a 4X4 forum Shouldn't you be spouting YOUR political beliefs on the 'Prius Owners " site ?

ffs norman , lik eyou sed its a 4x4 forum or more accuratly a LR forum. you go and bring YOURpolitical bollocks in here and expect others to side with you. most folk on here have enough brains to know that your protest will have no effect . you may enjoy beating yer head against a wall and flogging the already demised equine but the rest of us don't . am sure we'd all enjoy free petrol but neither you nor any other protest will acheive even a penny reduction. yer obviously too dense to realise these facts . so please go away and beat yer chest at those that will believe yer bollocks. if yer gonna run fer PM on the reduce taxes band wagon then go ahead am sure some will vote fer yer .

personally i think i'd have more chance with my ' lets all get ****ed and fall down ' party

I thought the ' general section " of this forum was to enable a wide range of issues to be discussed which is why I opened the discussion. You are the type of monsyllabic idiot that get decent 4X4 owners the poor press that they do.

oh so its only a discussion if its suit you . otherwise we're not allowed our point of view?

you seem to avoid answering the points i've made and instead retreat back into that domain of those that can't think for themselves. in that you use generalisations about someone you have never met. if you cannot accept that others have a different view point then you really shouldn't start discussion about things, especially politics.

but as you show your true mentality in your last post its what we'd expect from one of the sheep.

either way history has show the only way to bring about change is from the inside. northern ireland is a prime example of this. not that i expect you to understand.
 
I will stand out side a refinery or block the movement of fuel tankers and risk arrest and imprisionment in an effort to earn others some respite from the heaviest tax burden this country has faced in over 40 years.

As for mentality , I have watched you bully other posters on these boards from my day of joining with what you and your small , shallow circle of friends consider to be ' witty ' remarks. If you wish to have this forum purely as your own personal plaything, than I shall leave you to it and seek a more adult land rover Forum

how do you propose the government should raise the taxes that they will not get from petroleum products?

reduction in education or even worse NHS?
