In 5/99 the starter on my 1992 C1500 went bad and I replaced it. Then
in 3/03 the replacement starter, which was under GM lifetime warranty
went bad. At the same time, the left taillamp circuitboard and bulbs
had to be replaced.
Now the replacement starter has again gone bad and so has the right
taillamp circuitboard and bulbs. Mechanic said the circuitboard was
melted.
Is it possible that the starter is shorting out the taillamp
circuitboards?
