Had to remove 4 x glowplugs from my TD4 2005 recently.
None moved and I know, from a bench test of a broken one, that they snap at 30 ftlb.
I didn't want to break them so trawled for techniques that might work. This one looked reasonable and it does actually work. I set the wrench to about 25 ftlb.
Clicked it for about minute repeatedly in the tighten direction. Then reversed the torque wrench and clicked for about 30 seconds unscrewing. It then rotated and unscrewed slowly and carefully with wd40 on the threads. Engine was cold, as it won't run yet!!
Managed to get all 4 out OK.
Credit to this guy and the person that told him !!
Apologies if you already knew this
