Hi all

Whilst i was out in the snow today my friend called me saying he was stuck so i went round to give him a hand to tow his empty transit up a hill to his house. when i got there i hitched up and started towing and i just started spinning so i engaged diff lock and i was still spinning but the problem is a strange noise started orcuring, the only way i could describe it would be as if i had sheared the teeth on the prop or something. so i stopped straight as and it drove of fine with no funny noises in either difflock or not. so i was just woundering if any one has any suggestions as to what it could be?
many thanks
Kyle

yeah i'm all good cheers, will have to meet up for some off roading sometime soon.
no thank you for the ideas keep them coming lol
just hope its nothing serious!!!

Yeah thats true mate, do you think it could be connected to worn engine/gearbox mounts? ( just another suggestion)

Well hurry up and re assemble her then!!!! ;)

Not exactly sure how it all works, but could it be that diff-lock wasn't fully engaged when noisy, but when you stopped it 'dropped in' properly and was fine afterwards?

Well the noise hasnt come back and i towed a couple of other people out the other while engaging diff lock and all seems ok. Thanks for all the help.
