L322 Strange indicator problem 4.4 V8

Wondering if anyone could shed some light on this.
My drivers side indicator starts to flash on its own quite randomly. There doesnt seem to be any pattern to when it starts or how long it flashes for. It does however seem to be happening more frequently.
I noticed this morning that my side light was flashing whilst the car was parked with ignition off. Im guessing that by leaving the indicator stalk on activates the parking lights I may have a faulty Stalk?
Anyone come across this problem before?

Take a look at the LCM (Lighting Control Module) for dampness in it or its connections.

It is tucked up the side of the dash (UK Drivers side) and is a fiddle to get at, but totally possible.

There position means they can get damp if the sunroof drains are blocked; or condensation builds up in damp cold weather; or from excessive wading.
