Hi,

Hopefully an easy one. I've replaced the o/s rear abs sensor and where the plug/socket is there is a component that has just fallen off. It is cylindrical with pipes either end and an electrical connection. There's rubber either end with a plate between them. This then looks to fix to the same bracket underneath the clip for the abs sensor plug/socket. The pipes look like a hard black plastic (possibly fuel?) that go into right angle moulded rubber before going into the component.
I've cable tied it back in position for now but really want to sort this out properly, and I didn't think to take a photo but could get one tomorrow.

TIA

Thanks for your reply

I've found remote fuel pumps on fleabay, but they look a lot longer but otherwise similar. I'll have a better look in the morning. I think the two pipes headed across the vehicle towards the fuel tank so I'll try and trace the pipes.

Yes it is a td4 and after having read fbh posts I'm pretty sure I can join the ranks of never having heard of an fbh, although I've always wondered about the little pipe under the bumper.
Now the question is do I try and get working or just put up with a cold car for the first 10 min of driving on the one cold week in the year?

It's a preheat pump t'll be a Webasto or Eberspacher unit, it'll probably have a sticker on it telling you what it is. All the manuals & specs are available online, so that's not too hard. You may find the timer as an optional extra from LR, if not I'm sure you'd find one on eBay as loads of people sell the bits for them.
