Hello friends,
For some time now I have a strange problem with my Disco II Td5 manual.
The problem is with very bad cylinder balance readings but only when decelerating with the clutch pedal pressed or when rolling with the clutch pressed. The balance can jump to -2000. During this you can hear a distinct sound gr grr grr grr :D
When the car is stopped, the idle revs stabilize and the balance is perfect. The engine has power, does not smoke and you can say that it works perfectly... but this bad balance when going down from revs when the clutch is pressed...
There are never any errors saved in the ECU.

What is done or checked:
- injectors adjust, seals - OK
- oil pressure - OK
- injector harness - new
- there is no oil in the ECU
- turbocharger - OK
- no fuel leaks
- fuel pressure - OK

I have a suspicion. Maybe it's because of a faulty dual mass flywheel. To much play on DMF causes small vibrations and this GR GR GR sound and the ECU tries to balance the engine work and that's why these huge balance readings.
Two years ago I replaced the clutch but not the DMF. I checked the DMF. It seemed OK. However, I have a suspicion that the dual mass flywheel has never been replaced. I haven't replaced it for 9 years and 130,000 km. I don't know if it was replaced before. Now it has 320,000 km on the clock.

What do you think?
Greetings from Poland
