i have got a stolen recoverd land rover. it should have or will needs a Vehical identity check (VIC) at a VOSA site this is were thcy make sure the car is what its recorded as, and the VIN numbers all match up. once the vehical has been VIC checked i was told that i would be taken off the stolen list by VOSA not sure if it has. if your looking at buying this landy then get a HPI check done and that will tell ya. also the owner should have a letter from VOSA/DVLA stating that that vehical is a stolen recoverd vehical and tells you the prosess you have to go through.
This landy you have been looking at wont have a log book but should have somthing to state its a stolen recoverd landy.

If it is a recoverd landy you will need to get a MOT then take it for a VIC check then apply for a log book and tax disc. Job done.

Dont be put off by buying a stolen recoverd vehical as my landy was secverd and all that was missing was the chequre plate. the door and steering locks were smashed and thats it. if your not sure about anything contact VOSA & DVLA

Reserve is 2400 and it dont even look too good spend your money on something better I saw a tidy 1 go for £720 pound couple days ago on fleabay bet that seller was gutted

Thanks guys, makes the process clearer around stolen recovered for me.

Not interested in this landy to the point of making an offer/bid it just threw up in my fleabay hourly search and I have not the first clue about the whole stolen/recovered thing.

I am looking for either a complete bargain and patient (ahem) enough to wait or will have to up my budget at the end of summer and wait a bit longer.

If you live in where I am their aint any that come up but me dad got a 2002 110 double cab with lots of goodies for £7500 at the local dealer said he was gonna valet it and add 2 grand before me dad got it . Right place right time and it looks spanking outside the house

The car can be MOT it just flags it up on the computers during the MOT that the car needs a VIC check. if you think about it the car needs to be in a safe state before it goes for a VIC check
