still use knocking freelander??

hello

i have just purchased a freelander diesel on a r reg the ird had gone so i removed the prop as advised on here and it drove ok like this then a few days ago started knocking, will it be ok to continue using it untill i can get around to changing ird or will it cause more damage??? it turns ok and gear change it smooth.

yes seems to be ok. knocking seems to be from front when turning the ird by hand its very lumpy
