still new and still need help..tyre sizes now which is best

hi and thanks to everyone that replied to my last thread,,i am now after info on tyre sizes.currently my landy 90 is runnin on standard 16" rims with 205 tyres.everyone tells me different stuff,i have been told that on a stadard suspension setup that a 16" rim with 265/75/16 tyres is the best and largest i can go,a few wheels that i have seen and liked have a 80 and sometimes 85 profile tyre are theese 2 large and will they cause problems?oh and if anyone has a set of rims and tyres with at or mt tyres dependant on location i would be interested,thanks rich

205's on 16 inch rims give a harsh ride compared to 265/75/16, they do fit a standard defender, for which the standard tire fitted to an alloy i believe is 235/85/16.
If you do opt for 265/75/16 you will either have to adjust the lock stops to prevent the tires rubbing on full lock or fit wheel spacers.
