had a new gear selector switch (xy switch) and it seemed to cure the problem but after 3 days it was back to the flashing M S and limp home mode. What i have noticed is if i engage 2 on the gears it will use those gears normally, but as soon as i go into 3 or D there is a bit of klonk and i am limping again, any ideas any body. i need it sorted as it is due to go on a ship to NZ in a couple of weeks. Cheers guys.
