Does it have PDC?
If so, then changing the stereo means you loose it, unless you fit an aftermarket PDC system. Otherwise on the base model stereo, it's not difficult to do, with the necessary wiring adapters and fascia plate available.

That is the one I have as well, looking for solutions but don't like the cost of fascia nor the looks of it or anything aftermarket.
The sound quality is garbage. I am not sure is even worth throwing some sexy speakers.
However, if you want touch screen with android and all and keep current setup, a good solution is this (uses the aux for audio) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/7-Androi...Core-for-Land-Rover-Freelander-2/333753706647
I am going to build myself a bluetooth board with a2dp that piggybacks on aux and will have a microphone. It will be hidden somewhere in the centre console.
Having aux and power socket one next to each other gave me ideas.
