Ok time for an upgrade to my stereo system.

I am missing the under passenger seat CD stacker. Which is ok. Am gonna put a GPS system in. But I cant find the AV cables which would have run to somewhere under the seat to the Eurovox stacker. . .How in gods name does one get in there ?

ok got it out. .

now can't even work out if there are auxilliary cables to this thing. . .

f'in Eurovox.

Just retrieved this from the Forum.

But I can't find the wires here that run to the CD stacker ??

Using above format:


FRONT right | FRONT right

FRONT left | FRONT left

12V + | 12V + connected to ignition switch

auto antenna (I didn't use this)

EARTH | (don't know name but used on some car
phones to turn volum down when phone rings-not needed)

BACK right | BACK right

BACK left | BACK left

Can't work this barstard stereo out !

I assume the CD stacker selection from the radio has some kind of audio channel, and theoretically, I could plug anything into it ?

All I'm after really are the inputs. . .so I can rewire some AV cables in there.


oh **** it. . .just got an FM modulator. piece of crap Eurovox.

hey good news. . .All this talking to myself has revealed a method for Bypassing the required stacker signal of the Eurovox system. Just need to create a 5 volt loop between two of the cables, and this will leave you with a LEFT and RIGHT input for AnYTHING, ,that will allow you to plug in an MP3 player or a sat nav system.

All you then need to do is press your CD button, and you have an auxilliary audio channel.

I'll post diagrams when I get the chance.

It all starts with this little barstard called the 13 PIN DIN.

Enquiries will lead you through a bunch of electronic unsavy morons - you will find them at any local car sound or Auto Audio store. . .

They will say, if it is an unusual plug your pretty much stuffed. I say, **** that, cut off the plug and you have 13 opportunities to **** about for an audio signal through your CD channel. Better yet, if your existing cable is in there, cut that Barstard short and you have a wiring system for it to anywhere around your dash (perfect for Sat NAV)

Here is a diagram of the wires for the 8790 FR

Unfortunately, no information available on the wires for the DIN which comes out from the Head unit itself.

Eurovox apparently ommited this information to prevent just the very thing I intend to do.
