hi all.just got a used clock spring to fit.how do i check if it is set up right before i fit it,plus how to fit from start to finish please

You can check it's central by turning it in one direction until it binds (don't force it), then turn all the way in the other direction, counting the number of turns, until it binds again (still don't force it), then wind it back half that number and it's central.

Easy to change, and pretty self explanatory.

thanks nodge is it best to disconnect battery before i start .note the problem is horn only works in straight line, turn the wheel more and no horn do you think this is the problem, everything else on steering wheel working fine just dam horn thanks again mate for your reply you are always helpful

Yes, take battery off and wait at least 30 mins to allow airbag to be safe to disconnect!!
Also, make sure steering is straight ahead on car too else all goes wrong!!
