Help please team! It's a 2007 puma 110 defender, now a slow full lock turn to the left results in a rubbing\scrubbing noise. No obvious witness marks on the tyres. It's a new landy to me, any pointers to check of advice greatly received. When I reduce the lock noise abates.

If you mean the steering makes a noise when you try and turn it against full lock, most power steering does that. Just don't turn it so far.

It's only makes the noise on full lock to the left, right turns are fine. It's not the normal brown from a power pump \ box steering. It sounds a bit like a wheel rubbing on a mud flap or the side walk on some bodywork. But there are no signs of it rubbing. Thanks for your reply

Normal brown?

It’s probably a tyre rubbing on a radius arm because the lock stop bolt needs adjusting. Look for rubbing marks on one of your radius arms.

This is what I would be looking at too.

If it only does it on one direction, eg left. Then look at the left wheel. If it does it in both directions, look at both.
