i've got a steering fault when manouvering on full lock. it feels like the car id jumping sideways and tyres squealing when turning tight corners

little bit of history. front axle rebuild with all new bearings and swivels etc. cv joints checked ok. suspension lifted. tracking checked and all new quality ball joints fitted. it may well be that i'm overlooking something obvious. but welcome any thoughts

How high it lifted ? Im going through similar just now as my previous landy driving and all my mates have stock height landys ( or leafers )

My rebuilt steeering feels queer but ive put new cvs and bearings , swivel bushes and bearings all round as well as new ujs in the column and so all thats left is my box or pump .... And i think its the pump. But to begin with i was thinking it was my lift - 2inch lift with relevent arms and such like but props are stock.

I would jack one front wheel up and turn it by hand see what happens .

Turn your wheel to the full lock position then jack it up and turn by hand see what happens

i only put the basic lift kit on. but to be honest i'm going to standard suspension as it's far to harsh for an every day driver. i'll jack it up later today and see if i can spot anything, but to be honest i've checked it before and nothing fouled

Im thinking does it click.

My steering went mad tody at my mates , could barely turn it.... Then went so light it was awesome like my other mates 110.... Ie the way its supposed to be.

I assume it was a blockage. Done 60 miles with it and it feels awesome now. Wheels will likely fall off in the morning :)

no clicking at all. after looking underneath my main suspect is now the tracking. although i'd paid someone to check and adjust it, it was towing out by an 1.25 inches. i've had a little play and it's now VERY roughly running parralel and it's much better. if i get time i'll get it rechecked proffessionally

it was very basic how i measured it, but in edge of the tyre, not the wheel, but even so!! strange thing is, it never pulled. i'm guessing they never even bothered checking it.
