well, i had the pleasure of meeting madfrog last night as he has moved to my area and we decided that the job of changing his drop arm would be a piece of ****, so he came around to mine this afternoon to do the said job that was gonna take an hour or so, succesfully undone all the nuts then removed the balljoint off the one end, came to take the drop arm off the spline on the bottom of the steering box and its stuck solid. tried a 3 legged puller and snapped the end claw off, went and bought a new puller and tried again, to no avail, even tried a bit of heat and soaking it in freeing juice.got a 3' prybar and a sheffield fine adjuster on it still to no avail. we have give it a liberal coating of relesing oil and are gonna have a go tomorrow, any ideas on how to get it off ;)

Use a small sheffield fine adjuster and hit it about 60times, then use a BIG Sheffield and hit it once... Used this method a few times quite well, also lots of release juice.

Get it glowing red hot then use your puller on it.

Failing that replace the splined part also.

Don't heat it up, you'll ruin the seals in the steering box, beat the crap out of it!!!
