Ok, new issue I'm now stuck at home :-(

Car starts but tick over is 200 to 400 rpm then cuts out??

Where do I start with this issue?

Diesel, and just replaced the in tank pump 2 days ago
Stirred up crap in the tank...possible blockage...

Do Wammers fuel flow test...

Pipe off the fuel filter under bonnet, bridge fuel pump relay for 10 seconds and measure fuel quantity delivered...should 180ml....

Also maybe crack the injectors and ensure fuel flow...this will bleed the fuel system from the FIP

Maybe fuel flow related when you changed the pump did you change the filter?
Is what I said ... :D:D:D (we are sooooo alike, same name and all :D:D)

Check the stop Solenoid connection and cps connection .
I would of thought the pump ( fip ) would either not run at all or run itratic does its always stall now every time at exactly the same point can you rev it at all

It was the lift pump he changed. At start up the quantity servo is set for fast idle. IF that is working the only possible reason for petering out before the engine reaches that RPM is lack of fuel. As i said the other possible scenarios are pretty expensive ones. Let him try the lack of fuel option first.

I know but if the car started and there is no air in the feed pipe the fuel pump will be irreverent as the fip will suck the fuel In.
