Hello all help needed please.
I have a 1990 2.5td landrover 90.
I drove over to wales and all was fine,on trying to start it up I got nothing just one click from the relay.
I'm not mechanically minded so ain't really got a clue about the technical stuff.
Luckily I was parked on top of a hill and managed to bump start it.Drove back to Bristol parked up and switched her off and tried to start her up again,nothing just one click from the relay.

Got underneath and gave the starter a tap still nothing.

Is there anything simple I should check,lol go easy on me I'm good at other stuff just not at anything mechanical.

Any help greatly appreciated :confused::eek:

Mine does this also.
Check/clean battery earth terminal, run a jump lead from negative on battery direct to engine and give the battery a really good charge to start with.

Check battery and starter conections and main earths. If you have jump leads put one on from battery -ve to engine block. If that doesn't help try from battery +ve to starter positive.

It may be duff starter or solinoid but worth eliminating leads/ connections first.

Does your charge warning light work and have you a known good battery?

The battery is good but I will put it on charge just to be sure.
Will try your suggestions and get back to you with a update.
Many thanks :thumbup:
