starting problem

hi guys,
its happened a couple of times now, got in and turned key, all lights lit as normal but just a click. turned again and the the engine started to turn but stopped abruptly. turned again and it stated normally.

i am thinking the obvious and decided its the starter motor, would i be right in thinking this or is there something else i should be looking at.?

are starters nice and easy to fit on a disco 2000 td5 es

if you undo 3 x bolt 8mm socket on starter solenoid on bottom of starter remove plunger clean and it will be better for short while and get contact kit to fix it later
