hi,got a 1.8 freelander last week and all was fine for 2 days well for no reason it would not start. If you jump start it,then it will start fine drive anywhere and purr like a kitten dove 40 miles fine then if you stop then engine and try to start it again it wont unless you get a jump start but sometimes it will start,i thourght even if the battery was half dead then it would still be able to start the engine if it was hot there are no lights on the dash to say the alltnator is not charging.its the orignal battery on the car its on a v plate. any ideas?

Erm try checkin ya engines earth connection,it is possible that by piggy backin an other battery that youve givin enough amps ta get past the poor connection, and best oh luck. . . .:)

Thank you all for your advice.Got a battery this morning seems to be ok now (fingers crossed).I did phone M J Fews as they are about a mile from me and when they said £69.80 per hour + VAT just to look at it my blood ran cold i can tell you.
