hope someone can help a newbie first time on the site i have a 2000 1.8 petrol freelander when i tried to start her this morning there was nothing there. the battery is ok and all the instrument lights ar on but then there is nothing, after a while looking for a fault i found it had blown a 30amp fuse in the fuse box under the bonnet its the far right fuse which is for the starter.she seemed to be ok then drove to a friends about a mile away came back and parked up, left the car for about 5 hrs then when i tried to start her the same thing had happened the fuse had blown again. changed fuse and all seems well. any help would be appreciated

thanks steve

All i can say is dont use it until you find out what the problem is...thats a hell of a big fuse to be blowing so i can only assume that its a possible short on the main power supply to the battery and starter.
I would check the wiring there first to see if its worn through or is trapped.
To blow a 30 amp means a pretty serious problem, and could lead to other far worse scenarios.
Have a look at that first....i dont know much more BUT i wouldnt use the car until you have sorted it...they can burn pretty quick!
Hope this helps.
