has any one overhauled there starter motor before my 2.0 l diesel motor has gone just wondered if its fairly simple or cheaper to get a replacement thanks

have searched but no one seams to have said that they have done it only i will give it a go but then have not said if it was sucessful or not

ive done it........
cost a tenner off ebay, took 20 mins to do, worked an absolute treat mate..
best tenner ive ever spent.
the kit replaces the plunger and the contacts...when you strip the starter down, youl see that the contacts are just worn out.....
dead easy to do, go for it.

I was going to recommend a kit off ebay myself but old myze has said it all.
That must be just the solenoid kit, rather than a whole starter motor overhaul
