Squeak!

Eve all,

have a pretty horrible squeak coming from down below. it comes in 2 tones and seems like its along the driveline somewhere. its only really apparent when you push lightly on the acc. pedal. when its rolling along its fine and when you floor it, it hardly squeaks at all. most odd.

ive had a look at the UJ's and they seem ok. the rear one closest to the axle is a little bit worn but the sound seems to come from further forward. how much play is normal in a UJ?

what else could it be? bearing in the transfer box? anyone else only had this squeak when applying a bit of pedal?

Lack of use?

my bet is a dying UJ - having recently had some new UJs fitted it's quite an eye opener to see how little play there is in new ones - has there been a noticable increase in vibration at speeds over 40 - 60 ?

on a slightly different note, who did you have to sleep with to get an animated gif in your signature?

so you think its me J's? will prob do all 4 at once with hardy spicer's then. no more vibro than usual. manual steering and pulling to the left with worn bushes all around... it couldnt get much worse!
