i have just fitted 2 wipac spotlights to the bullbar and theese have 100w bulbs in each,i have fitted 2 front spots on the bumper with 55w bulbs in each..i have plans later to fit a roof bar with 4 spots runnin 55w bulbs in each,so at first will it be ok for the 2 wipacs to be wired to main beam via a relay.will i need a split charge system and 2nd battery to run the rest of the lights or will the standard battery and alternator cope with the load?..ta rich

depends how much you use them and for how long etc.
It will cope with occasional / short term use, but if you're using them for long periods at low speeds / revs (like I do when rabbiting / foxing) then you'll need an uprated altenator, split charge and 2nd battery.

i changed the alt in my n/a last night from a 70a to a 45a unit and powered up the roof bar (4x55w), full beam and rear work light. the alt just about held it at idle. im planning on putting my wipacs back on to before i sell it too so i imagine it wont hold out for too long.

only use the spots on the front rarely and the roof lights only go on when night-laning through water or fords at night :D this kind of usage should be fine for a single batt set-up. you may want to keep an eye out for an uprated alt though 70 or 100 should do you.
