Splitting a TD5 Power Steering pump

My PAS pump on my 2002 td5 90 is leaking from the gasket that seals the two halves of the pump body. I've got the pump off the engine, undone the 4 allen head bolts and now the body halves separate about ¼" but the water pump drive stops it going any further. How do I get this off? Is it threaded? Is it normal or left handed thread? I've searched on here, googled it and looked on youtube but can't find an answer. I don't want to go in 'guns blazing' and destroy the pump when its such a simple fault. Many thanks in advance.

Yes it does doesn't it. Someone must know as you can buy 'reconditioned' ones on line. I'll take a photo tomorrow and then its going in the vice...
