speedo drive problem

Hi I have swapped my transfer box on my 2006 TD5 for a discovery one which drives beautifully,
But I have a problem with the speedo,
I put the original defender speedo drive transducer back on the new box but my speedo reading is out by 10mph, when I'm doing 81mph my speedo is only reading 70mph.
the plug connector on the discovery box is different and does not connect to my transducer cable,
Is there any way round this

300 tdi disco box presumably ,you would need to fit td5 def speedo gear and transducer

its not the gear ratio in t/box that alters speedo only tyres or diff ratio

But that's what I thought, and its different to before i swapped the box, all the rest is the same, on other chances made, just the transfer box,

what about speedo worm on output shaft ?they are all the same except with yours been 2006 may be different

Hi can anyone tell me what the extra weight is for on the back of a defender TD5 transfer box, and do I need to attach it to the discover transfer box that I swapped it for as this does not come with one and the bolt holes are different

bolt holes are the same ,youd need to swap the 3 studs, its a vibration damper ,on some you can tell itsd not on others not so much
