I made a booboisie and purchased an overhauled series 3 speedo from Italy, great bargain..but it's in kph!!

all my previous MOTs etc are in miles

if I change speedo will mot man write kilometres on cert or do they convert to miles..

ie my mileage is 55,778 miles but my speedo is coming set as 89,766 kilometres

what's your experience in this matter chaps?

They'll just write whatever it says. They won't do any converting or make any judgements, it just goes on the record. Kph speed is probably gonna pee you off anyway, couldn't find any over here?

been looking but got this one fully overhauled with remote trip reset, painted etc got £48!

going for over £150 in uk :(

Is yours a very rare model, they seem to be pretty cheap on ebay. I've got a couple, whats the number on the front at the bottom of the dial?

I'll check my number, and report back :)

I dont mind reading the speed in kmph, its just that i dont want my mileage to suddenly look like it jumps by 25'000 miles when the MOT man writes down the mileage in his system, he wont know i have changed from miles to km you see...unless anyone can shed some light on how the mot mileage is recorded?

The last 3 years (or so) readings are shown on the MOT each year. I don't think it says mph or km, it's just a number. I don't think anyone buying a series takes any notice of the mileage as it could have been round the clock who knows how many times. After so many years, I'm sure no one buys one based on mileage either!

speedo I wanna change;
