Ah ha, a fellow wiltshire man I see.
Speedo bulbs. Under the instrument cowel is a couple of screws, removed these and the top cover can now be removed. The bulbs are all fitted to the back of the now exposed instrument cluster. You give the fitting a quater turn (according to hanyes) and pull the bulb out. Fit a new one (Halfords should do them) and put it all back together again.

you will find they are plain bulbs with little coloured condoms on them, so buy plain bulbs for a few pence.
