Speakers

Hi all, have noticed that my right hand side speakers(Freelander 1 2002) have ceased to work (they were working til now) has any one got any ideas? are they linked or are they separated to the block within the dash? any help would be great before i start ripping the doors apart.

Both my front harmon kardon ones went tits up, i just went to halfords and bought two cheap ****e ones. They fitted fine and work a treat. They require the old loom to be cut and two small female spade connectors putting on.

The front and rear are wired separately to the stereo.

Yes ,whipping off the door card is a nightmare job . Bring it to a land rover dealer .

Look in the drivers foot well, near the door under the plastic trim, the cars for your speakers are there, mine on the left hand side where broken when I got the car, I just used a block connector and all perfect since!

the wiring for the freelander was all made in china, and was not really upto speck, just try cleaning the end conectors it just might do the job when i brought my last one the speakers where not working, and under warranty they changed the wiring and now all is well.

One of mine stopped working so I took the door card off which is not to hard removed the speaker,The terminals were corroded with damp going down from the windows so I cleaned them off and sprayed them with WD40 they have been perfect so far.

Thanks for info peeps will have a look when it stops raining/snowing.
