Hi Guys,

Iv got a 200tdi discovery thats currently on 190,000 miles.

on monday night i was driving her and after about 15 motorway miles i had got onto a 30mph road and was slowwing down to turn off and noticed a rumbling grinding kind of noise and the more i slowwed down the worse it got! then i stopped and set of again and was limping it home and it sounded awful so reversed it onto the drive and left it.
i then got in it tuesday and it was fine again until i did some more miles in it on wednesday when it did it again, i pulled into a gateway for a couple of mins, had a walk around then reversed back and set of and it stopped again!

Just wondering what it is really, im guessing its somthing that is heating up and becoming loose or catching ect. it is on the front axel and im not really sure what to do with it now apart from change the axel over, is it a big job?
cheers
Matt

Sounds like UJ's .... easy fix, do a search it's been covered so many times.

Mind, it could be lots of things, from diffs to wheel bearings too. If you put your location into your UserCP then someone close to you might have a look and give you a better clue .. ;)
