Hi firstly I'd like to say I'm new to this forum lark so if this is the wrong place or I've done something worong please make me aware
I have recently bought an old land rover a 1971 tax exempt land rover
It soon looked like this when I got it home (with the truck cab on)
Why problem is being that been a 1971 Landrover it should surely be series 3 I think could be wrong remember I'm new to this
As far as I can tell its a range rover v8 engine with an lt95 gearbox series bulkhead doors seat box defender grill and rear tub mounted on a defender 90 chassis
Now I know what your thinking just another dodgy series hybrid built from a scrap yard which is exactly what I was thinking which was fine as I was only going to p&p it but when I checked the mot status of it it come up with the right reg but it said it was a defender 90 made in 1971 and I fact all the ways I've checked the reg not once has it mentioned it being a series a few places called it a land rover light 4x4 and if this is the case has it been regesterd on coil chassis before 1995
And if that's the case it might be worth doing up and putting back on the road
