Some issues with my new Vogue SE

Hi Guys

I have just purchased a late 10 plate Vogue SE 3.6 TDV8 and have a few small questions if I may.

1. When someone calls me only the number displays even though my phone book from my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is downloaded and the phone is bluetoothed up ok?

2. The dash tells me I have averaged 25.2 mpg but also according to the dash I will run out around the 500 mile mark. Thing is I brimmed it to 23 gallons so I should based on 25.2 be touching 579.6 miles? Looks like each time I fill up I have about 18 litres still in the tank but with the tank reporting zero

3. Is there a way to alter the sat nav route dynamically? On my BMW and also my Merc I can change between fast and slow route on the fly?

4. Can you get MPH displayed as numbers on the gorgeous digi dash?

5. I want to change the diff oil and gearbox any recommends? I get all my oils from Opie oils.


Do any LR's come with iDrive?

Hate to point a newbie to a different forum but fullfatrr.com - Index are more versed with the post 2006 models (we are slowly catching up ) they may be able to offer more guidance, but their response time isn't as good as ours

Ref iDrive - this is a BMW thing and BMW ceased involvement with the L322 post 2005 - the 2006 was becoming Ford/Jag based.

The L322 development by BMW in the later 90's was based on the technology from the E39 5'er, E38 7'er and the E53 X5....none of which at the time had the iDrive system.

As for the MPG - the on Board Computer is always wrong, and is a guide only...also the reserve on these things is about 3 gallons (15 litres or thereabouts)

Ok I can help with a few questions
1 = you will only get the number not name and number unfortunately its how it is.

2 = the mpg and range is a guide as saint has said. If it starts to be intermittent then the ipc will need a download and the tank senders connectors replaced common fault.

3 = I believe there is a way but I cant remember how to do it if I get one in at work il have a play.

4 = if you have the later tft type digi display without manual gauges unfortunately you can't get a digital speedo mph reading in the center. Its the digi dial gauge im afraid.

5 = ask you local dealer for the specs unfortunately being main dealer by the time the cars come to there 5 yr 75k services most are out of the main dealer network. What I can say is some landrover gearbox oil is £20 a litre. If I remember I will have a look tomorrow at work and find out what landrover recommend
