NOW SOLD hopefully to a good home.
The time has come to sell some of my toys and now it is the turn of my TD5 Defender. I am downsizing and my health is not what it was.
So for sale is my 1998 registered TD5 90 Defender CSW. This vehicle is London LEZ compliant as it was a CSW from new. New EU3 15p crate engine fitted less than 20k miles ago. All receipts to support this. NOTE THIS WAS NOT A RECON ENGINE but a brand new EU3 15p TD5 engine to replace the original EU2 10p engine that had oil pump failure. The speedo shows 123660 genuine miles from new as supported by all mots.
When the engine was replaced I also fitted a turbocharger, new alternator, new starter, new radiator, and new clutch with DMF.
It is original LR metallic green (think its Epsom) and is in reasonable order with some age related scuffs and marks. The doors will need some TLC at some time. Heavy duty (Pressbrake Blacksheep 4x4) rear cross member fitted by Clive the man himself. Steering guard, Disco Alloys (including spare), swing away spare wheel carrier. Full length heavy duty Hannibal roof rack and ladder. CSW so has ABS, TC, 4 folding rear seats. Air con was removed as it kept leaking but compressor remains in place on engine. Regularly serviced every 5k miles by me. Alive tuning engine map by Gary. Alisport intercooler. Full stainless cat free exhaust and EGR removed. Five good tyres (spare like new). Central cubby box. Has half faux leather seats.
I have this advertised for £9250 elsewhere but am open to sensible offers if anyone is interested. I also have a lot of spares which could go with the car if the price is right. Give me a shout on 07973 319132 cheers Steve aka Shifty.
