Hi all,
I'm doing it different this time, normally I buy a car then join a forum. Now i'm looking to buy a freelander and am looking for advice before I take the plunge. Iv'e more or less decided on a TD4 HSE if possible, there seems to be a few about it's just a case of finding the right one. One thing I am undecided on is auto/manual, i had a go in an auto and it did seem ok (Iv'e not driven auto for years) I suppose it's answered on the forums but is there much difference in fuel consumption between them?
Anyway, thanks for letting me join i'm off for a browse :)

Welcome. Plenty of cars around to choose from. Not sure about the fuel consumption but I heard that for off-roading, the auto is better as you don't rag the clutch like you would in a manual.
