I,ve got a TD4 (2001) and was thinking of fitting a snorkel. From what i,ve herd, you cannot get a snorkel to fit my TD4, so is there any way i can modify a snorkel from a V6 to fit the TD4. Has anyone done this and is it possible with the rear mounted air filter box:confused:

I was at the 4x4 show at donnington the other week, and there was a TD4 freelander with a snorkel on the passenger side. There was a lot of changes to make it fit though, all the electrics in the engine bay were moved so the air intake could be fitted, dont want to go that far fitting one.

Hi, i've got a 2001 TD4 and half way through fitting my snorkel that i made, i just bought i snorkel top off ebay with drain pipes and many angled bends from b&q, rubbed down - sprayed. The TD4 air intake is in your o/sf wing, flexi hose through that, use a hole saw for the wing.:)

Hi there,

On "our" Belgium Freelander Forum there was a member who fitted a snorkel to his Freelander TD4 facelift.

But he had to shape and bent things himself to make it fit. Personally I don't like the snorkel and for the rest of it: Too much bling bling for me. The airvents on the side I like. Useless but looks good IMO.
