hi gang

Have been pondering for a good while about a snorkel, not a RAI

As Many of the roads around Kent often flood and it’s just that little piece of mind

Not talking about any deep wading by any imagination but fitting a proper snorkel that’s properly waterproof and not just a RAI

Wondering what ur opinions were please as I’m 50/50 and does seem roads are flooding more and more and thinking just having that small amount of extra protection

In the kit they do like an extendable pipe, I would replace that with a silicone tube, or a stainless steel pipe , because it would worry be the extended one getting a split in it over time

With proper T clamp bolts and sealed properly

Thks as always guys

Many thks for the feedback , alas in the past I’ve hydrolocked a few landies yet in the same token had many series landies With water over the bonnet and learnt ref the bow wave technique, but just have to get that wave that enters the air inlet and it’s good night engine

Wondering about that of why some point the snorkel head backwards , if it makes any difference , think there’s been debates about it, lol

Will have a look at different kits and take my time if there’s a huge difference between copy and genuine snorkels

Thks as always

No matter what model of land rover the copies dont look as good or as classy, but my god the oe ones are bloody expensive!

I prersonally think on any road going car that are a waste of money.

Hi mate

Christ ur not wrong ref the cost of genuine ones, still 50/50 ref fitting one, haven’t got to make up my mind now so time to think on it

Did see a slim line type one, bet it was a genuine or G4 snorkel

Must admit seen more and more flooded lanes round here , have u also found where u are many lanes flooding

Thks

I live on a hill near the top, my poo does a tobogan run down the sewer pipes:D
See penty of standing water but only the odd place to worry about it around here and certainly nothing that needs a snorkel.

That looks good and tbh 219 quid aint the end of the world.

Cheers and that’s what i also thought

Lanes round here will flood from a 1-3 feet quite often , rivers routinely burst there banks and plenty if fords as well

Would never go that deep but it’s just having that extra protection if caught out
