Smokey MsSmokerson - blue smoke?

Hi there guys,

It's a simple one - Got a TD5 110 2001 ... Currently doing a refurb on her. Could use some help if folks could let me know most common places for burning oil leaks to occur!

Symptoms:

- Blue smoke coming out the exhaust
- No/little smoke at startup
- More smoke once engine has warmed up
- More smoke when under load / accelerating

... Any list of typical places to look/replace that'd be great. Would also be grateful if anyone is able to let me know how difficult each job is, only an amateur and prefer to do the easy stuff first

Hi there guys, As simple as it sounds - blue smoke coming out of exhaust (definitely burning oil). Noticeable enough that you can see a nice cloud on a still day. Increases when accelerating, more than would or could be considered normal. Only a few weeks with my td5 so just learnings it. Can...

Understand. I'm able to check those. Just want common spots.

Cap is not blowing. No initial puff of smoke, as said only when engine is warm, oil is going down and no oil behind turbo

I'm not an engine person but compression test maybe.

Glazed bores, worn rings, although favourite would be turbo seals
