Hi
I've had a hunt for SLS info and only come across threads about issues so maybe if my car doesnt have it it'll be a good thing, however...
I've a 2004 D2 Landmark with rear air suspension, there is no SLS fob with the car so I was wondering whether SLS is a standard fit to all air sprung D2s and I just need a fob programming, or if it was an optional extra which mine might not have. Is there an easy way to work it out given how expensive the fobs are? Would be useful to lower the back for loading bikes etc. The user manual doesnt seem to imply that its an extra just tells you how to use it. Thanks
Simon

The lowering fob was a paid for optional extra. Obviously not taken up by many owners from new & probably lost / forgotten before selling the vehicle on by many of them - lol.
I think it does need pairing with the car - others with more knowledge may correct me.
If it does, you'll need access to a diagnostic unit capable of programming (ie not just a fault code reader) eg Nanocom or similar.

Thanks Paul, I've read programming is for the pro's so its an expensive thing to obtain it seems.
Im wondering if the system is there on the car but just needs a programmed fob to make it work, a bit like the locking centre diff just missing the linkage for a few years but was an optional extra to add back in.

Wasn’t it the other way round? Linkage still their but no centre locking diff,

The SLS is automatic and if it's factory fitted it should work on it's own, that fob is optional and has nothing to do with the system's normal behaviour, it's used only to lower the rear to hook a trailer or ease access
