VERY EMBARRASSING

Too slow on boost so I had to back off when a Freelander 3 was tw@tting about at traffic lights, they were cutting people up left right and centre.

Cut me up into my own lane, but let them go rather than have a prang.

Now if I could have got more boost I would have been off into the distance.

Now from a rolling start it shifts but from stationary it takes ages to get going.

How can I prevent this happening again and letting down the world of real Land Rovers?

fly by wire LOL
are you talking about the delay when full throttle is applied before the computer decides to put fuel into the engine ? if so try without the MAF sensor also clean map sensor

mine seems to do it on a very hot day with air con on ..some times it can be very dangerous when pulling away when timing gaps in traffic human response is there just need the ecu to respond quicker so I installed an LPG system

I have also noticed with mine if you disconnect the batt for some time it comes back to life ..so I installed an isolator switch in the front grill behind the roo bar

Not sure what it means electronically, but in old time Tdi speak, not enough "off boost fuel" when you give it the beans, adjustable on the Bosch VE pump. So whatever does that electronically in the Td5, should fix it, smoke and mirrors presumably.

As far as I know my MAF is fine, I cleaned it a while ago and still reads full range on Hawkeye.

It does have a Dynachip remap on it, stage one

You do not say what revs you are pulling when this is happening, the turbo is not working until iirc 1800 revs.

Did you not take it for a test drive with Mike when he did the tune? If so, you should have experienced the same as you now have , or has it changed?

TD5's IME, do require a little bit of throttle to get off the line happily if you want brisk progress. The tune does help them from the get go though.

Cheers

Only from stationary when sat for a little while, it was 5mph quicker on one road post remap as he found mine had been remapped before I purchased it.

If stop go with no wait, off it goes, at traffic lights it just does not want to go.

Just seem to be ages before the box transmits the power, like it cannot get up to load fast enough.

Is this because I need a HD torque converter?

Oh well, if you are now saying you have an auto box of trickery, then who knows.....:D:D

Cheers

make sure that the wastegate is not stuck open also how old is the oil in the autobox?

and the turbo hoses to not be delaminated which means soft

you have to take into consideration if you want boost means more fuel to generate heat in the ass end of the turbo... maybe your fuel injectors are not squirting correctly or not enough fuel for take off or worn out ...could just be a software issue considering its remapped
