Hi,
Hope someone can help........
Just got a not bad condition sj410Q........
But have a rather odd problem! (well, looks odd as spent hours trawling
the net)
When shes had a run and is hot and is parked up, the petrol pump seems
to stop working.... But only after being filled up!
Twice now have found that after a fillup and a run of 50 miles or so,
after parking up for 20mins the pump puts no fuel out to the carb. If
I leave it an hour to cool or over night all is ok.... Had the pump to
bits and all looks ok.... If going to start.. will do with little or
no choke. Will throw her at a garage / tuner to get the mixture etc
sorted, but want to get the hot start thig sorted first.
Im guessing its to do with heat... vapor lock???? Has any one else had
this problem? I'm about to fit an electric fuel pump.... is this the
best idea and has any one done this???
Apart from the above little (lol) problem I love the damn thing! (After
2 days... but 250miles drivin lol)
Please email me nathpilcher@*nospam*.aol.com
remove the *nospam*
Thanks
Nath.
