Hi All,

Does anyone have a solution to this rather annoying problem? I have made
some fairly substantial modifications to my SJ413, one of which is moving
the Radiator and Fan to the rear of the vehicle, which greatly improves its
wading ability (and made it totally awesome offroad). The problem however
seems to be that every time I do go through any deep water, my alternator
dies, and I have to have it rebuilt. This has happened 3 times now, and
happened again today at Pingwood!!!!!! It is getting to be very expensive!
Has anyone found a way to overcome this problem? I have considered putting
the alternator in the back and running it on hydraulics, but that seems a
very costly solution.

Cheers
Robert

hello
what bout u make a shield for it? I made a shield for my rad on the vitara.
I think it is not the water that kills them, but the crap in it. so if u
make something that just blocks the big bits but not the water. If you know
what i mean
