After realising that I'd got an occasional flat spot when taking my foot of the accelerator, I've decided to fit a new set of silicone turbo hoses. The existing rubber hoses are soft when pressed. My current layout is thus (see below pics) They've been ordered off e bay for £30.00 (free delivery) this week!

I would welcome any views or advice before I roll up my sleeves?

Made quite a difference to mine. Smoother power delivery being the most notable.
Mine are British manufactured though, £60 for a set of pre facelift.
Can't really see a problem with the cheaper ones, although some have had to trim them a bit to make them fit.

the only thing with these silicone turbo hoses is the 90 degree one is not quite right I measured the end of the egr and the other end where it goes and the egr end is slightly smaller I have been in touch with DPH in derby and the man there said ring the people in the workshop and they will make you one to fit , But why are they not doing them to fit properly anyway.

Mine have just about had it already. If you squeeze them they're really soft. Keep in mind Skinny Mikes observation (above) about having to trim some new one's to fit. I'll be using my old ones as a template.

I used a fine bladed wood-saw to cut mine to length, then a pair of decent scissors to trim the edges. That is not the best way, I'm sure. However, the 'measure three times and cut once' rule does come into play. Also I had to release a couple of bolts holding the large plastic thingy along the top of the block to allow for a bit of wriggle room when fitting the 90 degree hose. Tomorrow, weather permitting, I'm removing the tray from beneath the motor to recover one of those bolts!

That's cheap for DPH hoses. Good quality those.

That's what I thought cause I swear I see them for around £135 on another site

It's about how much they expand under pressure not about how easy they are to squeeze. Lot of bollocks talked about turbo hoses. If the standard hoses are fine silicone hoses will make no difference to anything other than in the mind of the driver.
