Hi all

Im new to this forum so hello to u all, I have just bought an 08 plate Freelander 2 SE TD4 and I had some LED side light bulbs to put in so I fitted them and they worked fine for about 10 mins now the passenger side sidelight has stopped working the drivers side is fine as these are canbus compatible as I had them in my Astra so I tried my original bulb back in and that has stopped working! All the other bulbs are working fine just the side light does anyone know what could have happened or anything I can try? Any help would be apprieciated :)

Is it a fuse issue? Or I know in the citroens the return voltage has to be the same and throws an error so it maybe locked on ecu

I think they have an auto reset feature which stops resetting after so many attemps - but only know this from reading it somewhere. If it were me I'd be wanting to find the fuse and check if powers coming out of it first. If not then measure the output side of the fuse to body ground to see if you have a short. Also try disconnecting the lamp as this could be faulty inside shorting to body earth.

think you need to put ballast resistors along side led or ecu won't detect.
These are Canbus compatible so no need for resistors as I had them in my Astra H and worked fine. Got my m8 who used to be a mechanic for Land rover looking at it today so will see if he can sort it:)
