Hello

I am writing from Poland so pls excuse my English.

I have electric problem with my 1999 freelander. Both side windows doesn't work. I checked the fuses box, and I think there is everything ok. Sunroof is only empty slot (the photo is below) but the car hasn't got the electric sunroof. From my measurement it is apparent that the fuse for right-side window is always on live (about 4V), but when I press the button the tensions come down (to 2V). The fuse for left(driver)-side window is 0V, after I press the button I have about 0,5V. I measured tail door window also (tail door window is working) to compare results, and I get 0V for unpressed button and 12V for press button.

Does anyone have any idea?

Have you tried swapping the window switches over and testing again? Shorted, crossed or collapsed terminals within the switch can cause such problems.

Thanks for reply!!

I didn't try swapping switches, but I used multimeter to check one of them, and I am sure that this one is ok. I will check the second switch tomorrow, and I will try to swap.

Do you know where are located the solenoids? I want to check it out too.

It's only check the solenoids left, but I don't know where they are...
Do you mean yellow cubes in main fuse box?
