Hi there, does anybody know how to get the bonnet open on a 94 classic when the cable has snapped? It's defeated me so far and I'm about to resort to the crowbar.

wish I did , let me know if you figure it out as I am sure mine will break one day!

try doing a search on here as it may have come up before

Crow bar a bit heavy. I would have thought a stiff piece of wire like a coat hanger is a better way to go. I suspect will be tricky, I'll have a go at mine over the weekend if I get the time and if it works I'll let ya know.

If an angle grinder doesn't work...you could move up to the nex tproffesional step and try a pair of gas bottles with a no.3 burning nozzle....genuine LR of course not Britpart!!

Only joking guys, the Brandy was good tonight:bolt:

May post a sensible answer tomorrow when the fog has gone from me 'ead !!!

Easy peezy but you have to be brave. First u have to wedge the front bumper with timber or plastic. Something a little forgiving so that bends before your bonnet. Once you've got a gap to fit a spanner in. Undo the two catches screwed to the bonnet, ratchet spanners come into their own for things like this. Good luck, how do I know. 12 yrs of roadside
