OK, so i am driving down a slip road onto the Motorway, when i cross the cats eyes the front end starts shaking very violently, i am thinking christ a wheel is coming off, so start braking onto the hard shoulder, down to about 10 mph and it stops, so i speed up again and onto the motorway and all is fine ? what the flip could it be ? drop link ? ( do they have them? ), please tell me what you think , or has it happenend to you ? if so what was it, been fine since just i am abit nervous now, cant see anything hanging off or loose.

Its called the wobble of death among other things, well known.
Could be steering damper, swivel preloads, bushes, bearings so on.

Almost always swivel bearings, made worse by worn track rod ends and knackered damper. Root cause generally swivel bearings, remove some shims from under the top pin. (if slightly wobbly)

That's it?? all the advice yu have to offer?? No warning him that removing too many shims will lock his steering up as he's driving along as could cause him to crash??
as for the "root cause generally been swivel bearing" what utter ****e..
Mine was rear trailing arm to chassis bushes.. Discovered after I'd changed swivels and bearings, steering damper, panhard bushes, trackrod ball joints, front radius arm bushes etc etc. Though to be fair all these items were worn. And it could be that without changing them I may never have cured the shake

Wow, put your hand bag down.
In every case that I have known this from it has always been swivel bearings.. So talking from my experience it is "GENERALLY" swivels. If you wanted to dispute that that's fine, but no need for aggression thanks.
