I'm getting constant chirping comping from the serpentine belt area... when I spray a belt dressing on the belt it goes away but then comes back shortly after. All my previous vehicles when I would do the belt I would replace the tensioner pulley as well... just wondering if you guys swap anything else when you do this? Being from Canada I have to order all my parts in, so I like to have a full list of needed parts before taking anything apart, haha.

A new serpentine belt is 20 quid.

I need to do mine as it squeaks a bit when cold - the instructions in the Haynes manual makes it seem very easy 20 min job, you don't need to replace the tensioner, you just need to remove it and reattach it.

You can do it with the fan attached but it's a lot easier if you remove the fan, according to the instructions I've been reading.

(I am talking about a non-air con Tdci as that's what I have and have researched, no idea about other models).

Is this you ?

I'd take the belt off and check the pulleys for any signs of wear or 'wobble'.
Use a Dyaco belt (PQS101490) or an original LR (the Dayco is about 1/2 the price).

You shouldn't need to change the tensioner (unless it's wobbly) but if you do get an OEM version.

Thanks all, mine had A/C... does that change much, other than an extra pully in the mix? The noise I'm getting is sounding like a bad bearing rather than the belt ... but won't know until I take a closer look

If wetting the belt cures the problem it wont be a bearing. Either the belt is slightly misaligned when going around one of the loops, or the belt is worn. Changing the belt should fix the issue.

So I noticed my coolant reservoir was low, added a little and the noise seems to have gone away

Not exactly related ....
I'd be tempted to take the belt off and check all the pulleys (as advised last Thursday post# 3). Have you done that yet ?

If the waterpump is squeaking/feeling rough etc, then a new one isn't that expensive and i'd advise that you change it, the bolts and the belt all at the same time (+ any other pulley etc that feels 'rough').
